President Buhari’s announcement has had a ripple effect in Nigeria – since then, the Climate Change Act 2021 has been passed, the national Energy Transition Plan has been fully approved by the Nigerian Federal Government and an Energy Transition Implementation Working Group has been established. Thanks to its clear framework, the campaign has seen great success in lowering emissions across five key sectors: power, cooking, oil and gas, transport and industry.
We created an interactive digital space for SEforALL to share their mission and accomplishments in Nigeria. The website helps them raise awareness on sustainable energy access and national efforts to increase it, highlights their role as a key player in the sector and brings critical issues to the attention of relevant policymakers.
